Capital Development

What is it?

The Capital Development division of SouthStar Capital assists companies in start up, growth and expansion mode secure equity and/or debt funding. SouthStar has developed relationships with hedge funds, private equity groups, family offices and other various financing sources to ensure that our client who desire to give up equity obtain the funding they require. Depending on your company and the industry in which you specialize, SouthStar Capital may be able to arrange debt financing through a variety of alternative financing products. Traditional sources of capital are typically not available to companies described above and SouthStar is here to assist. We will help you determine if an equity and/or debt partner is a good fit for your company and place you with a firm or group that shares your vision. SouthStar can tailor fit a solution for your company.

How does it work?

Submit a brief write up to SouthStar, and we will work with you and research potential investors for your company. SouthStar will present multiple alternative investment opportunities to you, and we will review the proposed structures of the investments with your best interests in mind. Some investment companies will offer debt investments where they will expect to be paid back on a predetermined schedule and will not take ownership. Other funds will require equity in exchange for a predetermined amount of capital for your company, and this typically does not have to be paid back at a predetermined schedule. A third group of funds will offer a combination of equity and debt. Once all options are taken into careful consideration SouthStar will assist you and your company with closing this round of funding.
