David Von

Mr. Von has over 15 years experience in direct lending and finance. Mr. Von has had successful careers at BB&T Bank, Emmco Inc., and GMG Inc. where he held a variety of management, operations, and sales positions. Most recently Mr. Von formed and operated his own private company, Presidio Financial.

Mr. Von joined SouthStar Capital in May of 2008. With the goal of establishing SSC as the leading specialty business finance company, Mr. Von has sharpened SSC’s strategic focus and concentrated its investments on the following long-term growth opportunities: production capacity development and expansion, technologies for client relationship management, and a transition from a limited funding source provision to a broad base solution across a variety of traditional and non-traditional opportunities in commercial, industrial, and private markets. Mr. Von currently works out of the Atlanta Region of SouthStar and is actively involved in the expansion of SouthStar’s sales production team nationwide.

Mr. Von holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bob Jones University and has a Master’s Degree from the University of South Carolina.
