As an important member of the Sales Leadership Team this position is responsible for business development in an identified geographic market. While acting as the name and face of SouthStar Capital, the Regional Vice President is expected to lead business development in the area by maintaining and growing SouthStar’s presence in the local community.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and grow customer relationships through business development calls and active participation in community organizations
  • Participate in corporate strategic planning initiatives
  • Responsible for having some prior knowledge of commercial banking and finance products

Minimum Requirements

  • Five or more years of proven production in the Factoring industry.
  • Ability to source organic (not from brokers) client opportunities from a developed network of known referral partners.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field
  • Prior professional experience in the financial services industry, business development or a related field.
  • Active involvement in the community
  • Basic understanding of the financial services industry and commercial lending

Inside Sales/Sales Development Representative (Atlanta, GA)

SouthStar Capital is growing and hiring and has an immediate need for inside sales team members. The ideal candidate is someone who is looking for 20-30 hours per week, up to full time but not less than 10.

What you’ll be doing:

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are responsible for generating leads through calling on prospect accounts and qualifying sales opportunities.

Paralegal-Special Assets (Charleston, SC)

As an important member of the SouthStar Capital Financial Management Team, this position is responsible for assisting the COO and CFO with a wide range of Legal Issues including, but not limited to, the assignment of the recovery of specific funding assets.

Projected Candidate Profile

A Finance Professional who is interested building a long-term career in Factoring and Asset Based Lending. Seeking Individual Experienced in B2B Financial Services such as AR Funding, Asset Based Lending, Purchase Order Funding, Payroll Funding, Government Contract Financing, DIP Financing or Equipment Leasing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist COO and CFO on legal policies, documentation, compliance and risk management
  • In-depth understanding of SouthStar’s products and services
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, trust and security of private company and client information
  • Diligent awareness of finance services, products and processes
  • Work with SouthStar Legal Team as required
  • Help manage the documentation process for external clients and internal business partners throughout the documentation life cycle

CFO – CPA Required (Charleston, SC)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial and accounting functions and staff withing the company
  • Month-End Close, G/L analysis and reconciliations
  • Assist with the day-to-day accounting operation activities and month end processes
  • Help maintain responsibilities for the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions
  • Provide financial reporting, budget preparation, revenue reporting, and analysis
  • Perform cash flow analysis and forecasting

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), balance sheet and income statement methods, internal controls, and other areas related to financial reporting requirements

Software Development Specialist (Atlanta, GA)

Position Summary

The .Net Developer supports the Solutions team in designing and implementing custom systems and applications aligned to business requirements. The Developer (.Net) is responsible for design and development of web and other applications through the entire software life cycle. The Developer will need to be familiar with application design principles including security, performance, scalability, error, logging, and testing. The primary language used in this position is .Net. Additionally, we are a Dynamics 365 user and would like to expand the platform’s capabilities so familiarity with this CRM, MS Flow, Power BI, and other Office 365 products is a big plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop custom web applications for supporting finance initiatives
  • Work with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and effectively size projects.
  • Design, analyze, code, test, debug and support new and existing applications.

  • Interact with Prospects about funding their working capital needs
