Scott Norris
Vice President/Portfolio Manager
Mr. Norris joined SouthStar Capital in August of 2022 as Vice President and Portfolio Manager. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Norris works closely with the Assistant Portfolio Managers and Accounts Managers in delivering world-class financial services to both established and more recent clients, helping them grow and succeed.
Mr. Norris’s primary responsibilities include managing the overall risk of SouthStar’s client portfolio, reviewing requests for funding modifications, and assisting Account Managers in building and maintaining long-lasting, successful, client relationships.
Prior to joining SouthStar, Mr. Norris served as Portfolio Manager of Paragon Financial Group, an eCapital portfolio company, and brings to SouthStar more than a decade of asset-based financing experience.
Mr. Norris graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst with a bachelor’s in business administration, majoring in business management. Recently relocating to Mount Pleasant, SC from south Florida, he enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie, their beautiful daughter Mila, and dog, Julie.
