Wesley Basham
Assistant Vice President
Mr. Basham joined SouthStar Capital in 2020 as Assistant Vice President. His main responsibilities are the implementation and funding of new businesses within the SouthStar framework, including the development of commercial lending opportunities with small to medium sized businesses.
Mr. Basham came to SouthStar with over 18 years of experience in the banking and sales industry. His experience ranges from commercial lending, compliance, and regulatory oversight during his years working as a Vice President for various institutions. Prior to his banking experience, Mr. Basham worked as an Account Executive at f/n/a Conway Freight, now XPO Logistics. There he was responsible for over 200 accounts and maintaining strong relationships and customer support.
Mr. Basham played college baseball and loves sports in general. He has an 11-year-old daughter which he has coached in travel leagues since an early age. He is an avid golfer and loves to spend time outdoors.
